I had the honour of representing our organisation at the International Pastoralist Day 2026 celebration, held at the invitation of the Fulɓe Ruga Ruga Foundation.

During the event, the Foundation conferred a Recognition Award on our Chairman, Mr. Sammy Adigun, in appreciation of his continued support toward reviving a new Niger State, as well as his selfless service to humanity. I was privileged to receive the award on his behalf.

The award was presented by the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, who represented the Executive Governor, His Excellency the Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.

Beyond the recognition, the celebration featured rich conversations on how the Fulani and wider pastoralist community can reorganise to strengthen food security and the general safety of Nigeria as a nation — themes that sit firmly at the heart of our work at Niger Foods.

We congratulate our Chairman on this well-deserved honour. 🎉
