Niger State intend to be the largest market for Agricultural produces in Nigeria, in particular for exporters of tropical crops such as pineapple, pawpaw, avocado, mango, watermelon, bananas, oranges, mandarin, vegetables, spices, root crops, soybeans, sugar cane, grains and livestock etc., giving attention to sustainable production, infrastructure and institutional development in handling food for export and local consumption, while offering lawful market-focused food systems. Niger Foods is a platform for investors to invest and thrive.

Niger State with an estimated land size of 76,363 square kilometers, is the largest of the 36 states in Nigeria, most of the inhabitants are engaged in farming. Cotton, Shea nuts, yams, are cultivated for both export and for domestic consumption rice, sorghum, millet, cowpeas, corn, palm oil, soybeans, fruits, vegetable, spices, sugar cane and fish are also important in the local trade 

Niger State is naturally a transit state for all logistic activities coming from the Northern part of Nigeria, hence it will be a suitable commercial and logistical trade hub for Agricultural Produce

This means that most Agricultural produce can be aggregated, conditioned and processed – Value addition, which will lead to cold chill logistic service providers and large number of trading company’s aggregation. These companies will be offering wide selection of services, from simple reselling to packing and ripening facilities.

The state is named after the River Niger. Two of Nigeria’s major hydroelectric power stations, the Kainji Dam and Shiroro Dam, are located in Niger State, along with the new Zungeru Dam. The Jebba Dam straddles the border of Niger state and Kwara state. The famous Gurara Falls is in Niger State, and Gurara Local Government Area is named after the Gurara River, on whose course the fall is situated. Also situated there is Kainji National Park, the largest National Park of Nigeria, which contains Kainji Lake, the Borgu Game Reserve and the Zugurma Game Reserve
