We successfully conducted the herd health management exercise on Monday and Tuesday (12th–13th). The exercise included prophylactic parasite control, dipping, routine weighing, and physical assessment of cattle.
This marks another step in our effort to build a compliant, traceable, and technology-driven livestock system integrating structured health protocols, improved nutrition, infrastructure and hygiene standards to deliver premium livestock outcomes.
Early results are promising, with calves under four months reaching close to 100 kg, reinforcing our target of 200kg at 12 months under optimal management.
The exercise was witnessed by the Chairman, Niger Foods and witnessed by the Commissioner for Livestock and Fisheries and team. The ICT unit was also present to support data capture into the Livestock Identification and Inspection Management System (LIIMS).
