Earlier today, the Governor commissioned a shea nut processing factory in Kudu, Niger State. The factory was established by Salid Agriculture, a privately driven investment supported by Nexim Bank.

The Governor, aside from granting the company a three-year tax break, has included Salid Agriculture in the Niger State Agro-Processing Zone (NS-SAPZ). With this, the company can now enjoy infrastructure, funding, and employment opportunities for Nigerites.

Salid Agriculture is one of Nigeria’s leading shea nut processing factories, with the capacity to process 100tonnes per day.

It is also interesting to note that Nigeria produces about 60% of the world’s shea nuts, with 57% coming from Niger State.
